US: Iran should tell IAEA if ready for nuclear deal

The United States said on Tuesday if Iran is willing to carry out an agreement to send its low enriched uranium abroad for processing, it should tell the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN nuclear watchdog.

State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley, responding to comments by Iran's president, said the United States was not interested in renegotiating an October deal between Iran and major powers under which Tehran would send its enriched uranium abroad in exchange for nuclear fuel for a research reactor.
