Deputy Attorney General Mike Balas clarified that the proposed bill to prevent infiltrators from entering Israel is not intended as a means to try refugees. "We are very careful about this issue," he said.
During discussions about the proposed bill in the Knesset Internal Affairs Committee, Balas also said that volunteers in aid organizations would not be affected. "Someone offering a cup of tea will not be jailed," he said. (Yael Branovsky)
