Lebanon: Colonel arrested, suspected of spying for Israel
The Lebanese army has uncovered a new network suspected of acting for Israel, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anba. The report, based on Lebanese security sources, claims that the network was uncovered two weeks ago and that a colonel had been arrested.
Investigations revealed that the colonel, known only by his initials G.S., had access to information. Last year, 23 such networks were apparently discovered, and their members are currently on trial. (Roee Nahmias)
