Assad to Spanish FM: Israel pushing region into war

Syrian President Bashar Assad met in Damascus with Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Moratinos. Official Syrian news agency, SANA, reported, "The two discussed the situation in the Middle East, the stalled peace process, and its future horizons."
It was also reported that Assad said to his guest, "Israel is not serious about achieving peace because all the facts indicate that it is pushing the region towards war, not peace." (Roee Nahmias)
