Haniyeh: Hamas ready for talks with international community

Hamas' prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh, said his organization was "ready for talks with the international community, including the American administration and the Europeans." He spoke in an interview with the French news agency.
Asked about recognizing Israel, he said Hamas supported the "establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, but the Israelis must first recognize us. They must recognize the Palestinian people's rights. We are the victims." (AFP)
