Jewish Agency won't meet in Russia due to regime opposition

The Jewish Agency board of trustees conference will be held in Jerusalem and not in Saint Petersburg as originally planned, according to Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky.
The decision was made after Russian authorities signaled that they do not view the conference in a positive light. One of their explanations was that a conference of its size was not coordinated with the state. (Yael Branovsky)
