Golan council: IDF refuses to clear mines in visited areas
Golan Regional Council announced that for 10 years the IDF has refused to clear mine fields near towns and areas visited by tourists.
Following the incident in which two children were hurt when a mine exploded in the Golan Heights, the council turned to Defense Minister Ehud Barak and the IDF to request that mined areas be securely fenced off and sign-posted. (Ahiya Raved)
