Syria: We'll stand by Lebanon in case of Israeli attack
Syrian President Bashar Assad said during a meeting with Lebanese Parliament speaker Nabih Berri that his country would stand beside Lebanon "against any Israeli attack it might encounter."
Syrian Arab News Agency SANA reported that the two discussed "the repeated Israeli threats against the regional countries and Israel's radical approach, which jeopardizes peace efforts by inciting war in the region and heading in an unknown direction." (Roee Nahmias)
