Acting Jerusalem mayor: Legal advisor did not enforce construction regulations

Jerusalem acting mayor Kobi Kahlon criticized Jerusalem Municipality's legal advisor Attorney Yossi Havilio remarks that mayor Barkat has no authority to demolish Arab houses in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan.

"Havilio is misleading; in reality there are over ten thousand construction irregularities that he did not enforce – and that's his personal failure," said Kahlon. According to Kahlon, Havilio suffers from "thought fixation", which prevents him from taking part in Barkat's construction legalization policy in Silwan. (Ronen Madzini)
