State admits Sunday's Ramallah arrests improper
The State Prosecutors Office admitted during a hearing held in the Supreme Court on the arrest of two female activists, Ariadna Jove Marti and Bridgette Chappell, who were arrested Sunday in Ramallah, was entirely inappropriate.
The explanation was that the two were transferred to the jurisdiction of the Oz unit in the Ofer detention facilities, which is part of the West Bank even though the unit's jurisdiction is only applicable within the Green Line. The two were arrested Monday for staying illegal in Israel. (Aviad Glickman)
