Bill: Political activity funded by foreign entity must be disclosed

A new bill submitted to the Knesset on Monday forces disclosure on anyone receiving financial support from "a foreign political entity", in order to increase the transparency of political activity funding in Israel.

According to the bill, presented by seven Knesset members, a person or body in Israel will be allowed to receive financial support from a foreign political entity for funding political activity in Israel only after registering with the registrar. (Amnon Meranda)
