Barak aides slam IDF spokesman over Ashkenazi's term innuendos
Sources close to Defense Minister Ehud Barak criticized IDF Spokesman Brigadier-General Avi Benayahu following a Channel 1 report suggesting tensions with Iran may lead to extending IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi's term in office by one year.
The report, said the sources, "Is a (media) spin which belittles both the chief of staff and his office's standing." (Roni Sofer)
