Kadima: Voting on Golan tax breaks politically motivated

Published: 02.10.10, 11:03 / Israel News

Sources in Kadima criticized the cabinet for its willingness to delay voting on the Golan tax break bill by a number of weeks. The bill, initiated by MK Eli Aflalo, intends to increase the number of towns in the Golan Heights that are eligible for tax breaks.

Kadima members also addressed tensions with Syria, saying "this is miserable timing. It is expected of those in charge of Israeli policy to put the political considerations in their proper place and stop playing with fire at the expense of the State of Israel." (Amnon Meranda)
