Lieberman in Azerbaijan: Muslim state is model of stability, tolerance
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman met with Azerbaijan Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov and briefed foreign ambassadors serving in the country. During the meeting, Lieberman spoke warmly of the relations between Israel and Azerbaijan, and said that this was a great example of cooperation between a Muslim state and the Jewish state.
Azerbaijan, he said, can serve "as a model for stability and tolerance, combining tradition, history, openness, and the universal values of the modern world." (Roni Sofer)
