IDF, Shin Bet prevented soldier abduction in December
It was cleared for publication that two Hamas militants were arrested in December on the Israel-Gaza border as part of a joint IDF-Shin Bet operation.
One of the militants planned to kidnap and Israeli soldier while the other was caught in possession of two explosive devices which he planned to place in crowded locations inside Israel. (Hanan Greenberg)
