Supreme Court nullifies law regarding remand of security suspects
A panel of nine Supreme Court judges has decided unanimously that a clause inside the Criminal Procedure Law according to which a remand hearing for security suspects can be held in their absence should be nullified.
The judges ruled that the clause must be nullified since it violates a detainee's basic right to be present during his arrest's procedures and contradicts the Human Dignity and Liberty Basic Law. (Aviad Glickman)
