Journalist organizations to Iran: Release more than 60 reporters

Six international organizations for the defense of journalists and the freedom of expression called upon the Iranian government to release more than 60 journalists, bloggers, and reporters who were arrested and jailed after vocting the controversial presidential elections in the country last June.
"This is the larges number of our colleagues that have been arrested and jailed at the simultaneously in the past decade," wrote the organizations, led by Reporters without Borders, in an open letter to Iran's spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. (AFP)
