"(Foreign Minister) Avigdor Lieberman is gradually making the Defense Ministry redundant and is turning Israel into Sparta," asserted Meretz Chairman Chaim Oron following the defense minister's comments Sunday in the Knesset.
Lieberman, according to Oron, "sees foreign relations and foreign policy as something worthless… and is dismantling Israel's system of foreign relations." (Attila Somfalvi)
