Livni says no to early primary elections

None

Kadima Chairwoman Tzipi Livni officially rejected an appeal by MK Shaul Mofaz to hold the party's primary elections as soon as possible.

"I am not opposed to the primaries being held nine months to a year before the general elections, but Kadima needs to build an alternative to the leading party and do what is right for the state and the party. If anyone has another offer, they are welcome to bring it up for a democratic party vote," she said. (Attila Somfalvi)
