EU official: Recognition of Israel precondition to peace

A delegation from the European Parliament visited the Knesset and met with Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin and other Knesset members.
The delegation's leader, Bastiaan Belder, said to his hosts that he was convinced that a precondition for any peace agreement in the region was recognition of Israel's legitimacy and its right to exist as a Jewish state. "Any attempt to de-legitimize Israel is unacceptable," he added. (Amnon Meranda)
