Obama-Dalai Lama meeting will not be public

The Dalai Lama's chief envoy says US President Barack Obama probably will not follow former President George W. Bush's example and make his Thursday meeting with the Tibetan spiritual leader public.

But Lodi Gyari said Tuesday that any White House meeting advances both Tibetans' causes and the broader U.S. commitment to human rights. (AP)
