Interior Minister Eli Yishai sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which he objected to the latest draft of a new immigration law because, he says, it will allow for a "significant breach" in Israel's immigration policy that conflicts with the government's stance.
Yishai said he would not approve the bill in its current form. "It is a complete violation of the status quo," he wrote. (Roni Sofer)
