MK Akonis: Knesset must mark anniversary of Begin's death

MK Ofir Akonis (Likud) complained to Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin that the Knesset will not mark the anniversary of former Prime Minister Menachem Begin's death Thursday in a special meeting. Akonis asked that such a meeting be held.
The Knesset speaker's office confirmed that the received MK Akonis' request, and noted, "In light of the late Menachem Begin's wishes and the preferences of his family, Rivlin will consult with Minister Benny Begin and will provide a response as soon as possible." (Amnon Meranda)
