Egyptian police seize 3.5 tons of Gaza-bound explosives

The Egyptian police intercepted 3.5 tons of explosives in the Sinai desert near the border with the Gaza Strip.
An Egyptian security official said that 79 sacks of TNT were discovered in a cache. They are believed to have been set aside for smuggling into Hamas-controlled Gaza. (AFP)
