Israeli Embassy in Spain protests provocative art

The Israeli Embassy in Spain has issued a notice to protest the display of two sculptures created by Spanish artist Eugenio Merino, exhibited at the International Art Fair in Madrid. One sculpture features an Uzi sub-machinegun out of which grows a candelabrum ornamented with a Star of David.
"Values such as freedom of speech and creative freedom are sometimes used to disguise stereotyping, prejudice and provocation for the sake of provocation," the notice said. (Roni Sofer)
