Police Chief Superintendent Yoram Sofer told Ynet that the murder was believed to be the result of an argument between Bedouins and Russians which led to a violent clash.
"According to initial information, a dispute broke out between a minority group and immigrants from the former Soviet Union. The squabble turned into a big fight which involved 15 people, one of whom was stabbed."
He said the people involved in the fight fled the scene, but some were detained for questioning shortly afterwards. The police expect additional arrests.
This was the third murder case in Israel in the past 10 days.
