Terrorist gets 25-year sentence for firing rockets at Israel

Beersheba District Court sentenced Mamdouh al-Tanaa to 25 years in prison after he was convicted in a plea bargain for firing rockets at Israel and aiding in the transportation of suicide bombers who injured two soldiers.

In 2006, Al-Tanaa, active in the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, fired rockets from the water tower near Erez Crossing into Israeli towns in the area. In another incident, he fired rockets at IDF soldiers near Beit Lahiya together with two other partners in crime. (Ilana Curiel)
