China protests Obama meeting with Dalai Lama

China on Friday protested President Barack Obama's meeting with the Dalai Lama, saying Washington had interfered in Chinese domestic affairs and demanding that the US take steps to improve ties.
Vice Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai summoned US ambassador to China Jon Huntsman to lodge a "solemn representation" over Thursday's meeting at the White House, the ministry said in a statement posted on its Web site. (AP)
