Northern Ireland police say they have blocked off the center of Keady after a potential car bomb was parked outside the police station in the border town. British Army experts were examining the abandoned vehicle Friday, but have yet to determine whether it contains explosives or is a phony threat.
Irish Republican Army dissidents opposed to Northern Ireland's peace process mount occasional attacks in the British territory. Security officials say the dissidents possess few explosives, and most of their bomb threats are hoaxes. (AP)
