France says situation different than that of England in Dubai hit case

France believes its situation is "different" than that of Britain with regards to the use of its passports by members of a hit squad that assassinated Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai last month.
French Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bernard Valero said, "The situation in Britain is that a few names of the hit men match the names of the state's citizens. Of course, our situation is different." Earlier this week the French Foreign Ministry summoned the Israeli ambassador to Paris for a clarification. (AFP)
