Beitar Illit Mayor Meir Rubinstein said during an emergency meeting on the settlements building freeze that 900 students in the city will not have classrooms next year.
Rubinstein noted that the construction freeze halted the building of 120 apartments budgeted and approved by the Olmert government. "The situation is very serious," he said. "This is a suffocating order issued by the Netanyahu government." (Shmulik Grossman)
