Diplomatic sources: EU to express anger over Dubai killing

European Union foreign ministers are expected to agree a statement condemning assassinations and the use of fake passports at a meeting on Monday, diplomatic sources said. The statement may not mention Israel specifically but is intended to show disapproval over the killing of a Palestinian militant in Dubai last month by a team of assassins using forged European passports who Dubai believes were sent by Israel.
"It will be quite a strong statement. It will make reference to 'extra-judicial killing' and the fact that these passports were used," one diplomatic source said. "It doesn't matter if it doesn't mention Israel, the message will be clear." (Reuters)
