Palestinian who plotted murder of Israeli citizen jailed for 18 years

The Beersheba District Court sentenced Muhammad Bhabtza to 18 years in prison after finding him guilty of planning to abduct and kill an Israeli citizen in order to use him as a bargaining chip for Palestinian prisoners.
Bhabza was linked to a Hamas cell which plotted the abduction some four years ago. He was arrested along with another cell member after infiltrating Israel. (Ilana Curiel)
