Netanyahu on road reforms: Time to get out of traffic jams

None

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to proposed transport reforms, saying "the time has come to get out of the traffic jam in which we've lived between Gedera and Hadera, to enable the citizens of this little state to move about freely, to remove random traffic lights from Kiryat Shmona to the Negev junction."

On Wednesday the government is expected to approve road reforms which will cost NIS 27.5 million ($7.3 million). Minister of the Development of the Negev and Galilee Silvan Shalom (Likud) is against the reforms because they do not include Kiryat Shmona and Eilat in plans to construct a new railway network.
