Japan offered to enrich uranium for Iran to enable it to obtain nuclear energy and calm fears of western states regarding Iran's nuclear weapon aspirations, according to a Japanese business paper.
According to reports, the offer was passed on to Iran's National Security Council Secretary Said Jalili, who is heading the negotiations, during his visit to Tokyo in December. (AFP)
