MK Orlev: Report on taxing of pork absurd
MK Zevulun Orlev (Habayit Hayehudi) announced that he would thoroughly object to custom tax ordnance taxing the importation of pork, horsemeat, donkey meat, rabbit, reptiles, and other non-kosher products.
"The ordnance up for approval seems totally absurd to me, when the entire world knows and understands that the Jewish people eat only sheep and cattle that were slaughtered according to the halacha," he said in response to a Ynet report on the ordnance. (Amnon Meranda)
