Quake hits eastern Nepal, no damages reported

An earthquake measuring magnitude 5.4 struck eastern Nepal on Thursday, but there were no immediate reports of casualties, the United States Geological Survey and Nepali authorities said.
The quake was centred 70 km (40 miles) north of Namche Bazar, and had a depth of 10 km. Authorities in Nepal said the quake measured 6.0 and was felt in Solukhumbu area where Mount Everest is located. (Reuters)
