Police forces entered the al-Aqsa Mosque courtyard at the Temple Mount on Sunday after dozens of youths barricaded themselves in the mosque Saturday night and hurled stones at passersby entering the Temple Mount compound.
Police restricted entrance to the site to male worshippers with Israeli IDs over the age of 50, and to female worshippers of all ages, after the Waqf's efforts to remove the youths had failed. Visits to the site continue as usual. (Efrat Weiss)
