Unemployment rate rises to 7.6% in 2009
The number of unemployed individuals in Israel grew by 9,000 people in the year 2009, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported on Sunday.
The number of employed women grew by some 21,000, while the number of employed men dropped by around 12,000. The rate of unemployed individuals in 2009 stood at 7.6%, compared to 6.1% in 2008. (Ynet)
