Ahmadinejad: Zionist regime lost its raison d'etre

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahamdinejad said Saturday during a conference on the Palestinian struggle in Tehran that "Israel has lost its raison d'etre." The Iranian president claimed that the "Zionist regime's existence" in the region was a source of threats and crises.
According to Iranian press, the conference was attended by Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal and Islamic Jihad Secretary-General Ramadan Shallah. (AFP)
