Foreign Ministry: Spanish pupil's letters are incitement against Israel
The Foreign Ministry's Deputy Director of European Affairs Naor Gilon protested via telephone to Spanish Ambassador to Israel Alvaro Iranzo the delivery of letters written by Spanish school children to Israel's Ambassador in Madrid, Rafi Shotz.
The letters claimed that Israel is murdering Palestinians. According to Foreign Ministry sources, the Spanish ambassador clarified that the letters were not sent upon the instruction of the Spanish Ministry of Education. Gilon said in response that the phenomenon must be stemmed and that it constitutes incitement against Israel. (Roni Sofer)
