Turkish constitutional reforms ready by end-March

Turkey's government will present proposed reforms of the constitution to parliament by the end of March, Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday, according to Turkish media reports.

The Islamist-rooted government says its constitutional reform package is needed to curb the power of judges and prosecutors, and has threatened to call a referendum on reforms. (Reuters)
