Jordan: Prison sentence for cell that planned attacks on Israel

A Jordanian military court sentenced six Jordanian citizens who founded a terrorist cell and planned to infiltrate into the Gaza Strip in 2009 in a bid to carry out attacks against Israel. Legal sources in the kingdom said that the six decided to purchase weapons and join the terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip after Operation Cast Lead.

Three of citizens were sentenced to 15 years in prison each, two others received five-year sentences each, and the sixth was sentenced in absentia to life in prison. (AFP)
