Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat said Tuesday that he has accepted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's request of postponing the local committee's discussion regarding the public park he plans to construct in Silwan and continue the discourse with the local residents.
Speaking at press conference held in the Municipality hall Barkat said that the city is developing special legal measures for "the unique situation." He further noted, "We plan to do it with great consideration and sensitivity but also resolutely since there is no better alternative." (Ronen Medzini)
