Hamas: 2010 year of Palestinian prisoners
The Hamas government in the Gaza Strip has announced that 2010 will be a "the year of Palestinian prisoners." Hamas prime minister in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh said that "this year will be dedicated to efforts to free the prisoners."
He said that the Arab summit, due to convene in Libya this month, must set up a special fund for assisting Palestinian prisoners and their families. (Ali Waked)
