Mubarak to Netanyahu: Heritage site list hindering peace efforts

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak via telephone Tuesday and discussed with him efforts to jumpstart the peace with process with the Palestinians and Israel's expectations that Cairo support the move, according to a report on Egyptian television.

According to the report, Mubarak warned Netanyahu of "the dangerous repercussions of invading the Temple Mount and added the Cave of the Patriarchs and Rachel's Tomb to the list of Jewish 'heritage sites' – acts that offend Arab and Muslim sentiments and hinder peace efforts."
