Judge Moshe Gal. 'Escalation felt every day'

Another warning sign has been received as the wave of threats against Israel's judicial system continues. Courts Administration Director Judge Moshe Gal received a fax this week reading, "Another judge must be murdered just as they murdered in the past. We will kill a judge with a LAU missile."
After the potent threat was received, it was handed over to Court Security, which launched an investigation and even notified the police of the case's particulars. No unusual security measures have been taken thus far to protect the Courts Administration itself since the threat was not specifically made towards them.
Growing Violence

Speaking at memorial for murdered judge, Supreme Court president says violence against judges should resemble war on 'other kinds of terror'
During a memorial event Monday for the late Judge Adi Azar, who was murdered five and a half years ago, Judge Gal said, "We sense an escalation every day. The situation today is much worse than it was a month ago. The threat is tangible. Only out of consideration for security measures, I will refrain from numbering how many threats were received today by judges in the State of Israel. Such things occur a few times a day."
Not only have threats against the courts increased recently, but so have violent outbursts against judges. Supreme Court President Dorit Beinish was hit in her face with a shoe thrown at her during a court hearing.
A number of weeks ago, Judge Moshe Gilad's car was set ablaze in Akko. Just Monday the remand was extended of a man suspected of vandalizing judges' cars in Jerusalem. The words "You and Beinish – murder" were scratched into the side of Judge Anna Schneider's car.
