Former Poalim chairman interrogated by fraud unit
Bank Hapoalim Chairman Danny Dankner was questioned under caution recently by the national fraud investigation unit on suspicions that he committed crimes of integrity. The questioning was observed by the State Prosecutor's Office's economic department. Dankner served as chairman from 2005 to 2009.
Dankner was recently ousted from the bank's leadership after the governor of the Bank of Israel expressed his strong opposition that he continue serving in the position. (Eli Senyor)
