Clinton urges reform in Latin American nations
US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is promoting democratic and social reforms in Latin America, where many nations have troubled political histories.
At a meeting Thursday of top officials from 15 countries in Central and South America plus Canada, Clinton urged renewed efforts to combat crime and poverty, and promote the rights of women and marginalized populations through economic development and the rule of law. (AP)
