Abbas: Israeli adventure which will ignite religious war
The office of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has warned Israel against infiltrating the mosque area on the Temple Mount. According to a special statement, Friday's events in Jerusalem were aimed at damaging the chances of resuming the peace process and Israel is crossing all the red lines.
The statement also said that Abbas was calling on the American administration to "stop the adventure which may ignite a religious war in the region" and was demanding that the international community "take responsibility and stop the Israeli recklessness." (Ali Waked)
